Property Law

Previous owner has mortgage on property

I purchased a property in 2018 in delhi it is first floor out of 4 floors. And it is Registered in my name . Also I took a home loan from DHFL (now Piramal capital). Now In April 2022 building received a possession notice which mentioned that previous owner who sold the property to us had taken the loan on the building. Loan was from the same NBFC DHFL. Now if original documents were with NBFC than how property got registered in our name. As it was not possible without original deed. Second can an NBFC provide 2 loans on same property at same time without closer of previous loan.

DHFL was involved in fraudulent activities. Anything is possible.
What if the builder bribed officials of DHFL, took original documents and subsequently effected registration.
Would have to look at the documents.
