Man Asks To Declare Covishield 'Unsafe', Compensate 5 Cr: HC Issues Notice

Madras HC has issued notice to centre over a petition to declare Serum Institute of India's coronavirus vaccine - Covishield - "unsafe". The petition was filed by a man from Chennai who was a volunteer for the third phase of the vaccine trial. He had alleged adverse effects from vaccine trials, claiming "loss of creativity and business". He has also asked for compensation of ₹ 5 crores.
