Centre Moves SC Against Delhi HC’s Show Cause Notice Of Contempt On Oxygen Deficit

The Centre moved the Supreme Court against a Delhi High Court show cause notice asking why contempt action should not be initiated against it for not complying with its orders on oxygen supply to the Capital. RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said coronavirus vaccines will be available for all Indians by the second half of 2022. He also announced measures to relax loan terms for individual borrowers and small businesses.

HC Seeks Chandigarh’s Reply On Covid Bed Occupancy Data

The Punjab and Haryana high court has directed the Chandigarh administration to apprise the court as to why it is not putting out details of bed occupancy in the public domain. As a result, some patients have to stay at home. In the eventuality of needing oxygen support, they have to purchase the same from the open market. However, it is not easily available.

Only 14 IMA Docs Respond To HC Call To Serve Covid-19 Patients, With Conditions

Only 14 doctors out of IMA 3,000 members have come forward to offer their services for Covid-19 patients at AIIMS, after the Nagpur bench of Bombay high court invited them to help out in the pandemic. “The IMA members must also consider the clarion call for their services by AIIMS. We would request all its members to volunteer services as specialists there,” a division bench said.

Examine Plea On Politicians Procuring Remdesivir: Delhi HC

The Delhi High Court asked the police to examine the instances of politicians allegedly procuring and distributing Remdesivir, used for treating COVID-19 patients, in the national capital and take steps for lodging of FIR in case of offence. A Bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli said the court was not inclined however to direct any enquiry proceedings by the CBI at this stage into these allegations.
