General Advice

What legal hurdles can I come across for my kind of startup?

I am thinking of opening a startup which will enable bus traveler (who books ticket through online portals like redbus, makemytrip, etc) to sit beside his/her own choice of person. This will be down by matching interests of a traveler with other person. On successful matching of the interest the two people can anonymously chat and can decide whether to sit with the other person or not. A confirmation from both ends will lead to seating the person with each other. For security reasons a person has to give aadhaar card number, name and email for signing up. Hence a background check can be done through aadhaar number to filter fake people.

The biggest legal hurdle you would face will be privacy issue. You may encounter, probably from disgruntled customers or competitors, allegations of illegal and unauthorised sharing of information, leakage, etc. Therefore, your terms of use (legal contract) as well as software technology should be such that these issues can be taken care of.
