General Advice

Non payment of fees abroad

I had a question regarding my studies in france. I am a resident of india. I joined a one year ms in a business school in Paris for fall 2019. After attending only 2 months of classes, I left the course by informing the school about my medical reasons. Fees was 21500 euros and i paid initially 2500 euros. The school is demanding a payment of 19000 euros from me and my guarantor or they will initiate legal proceedings and they are telling that I will have to pay all their legal fees too which they say is almost 19000 euros. What are my options in such a scenario? What do you suggest?
