I am a retired person and after retirement I was working as a consultant accountant in a Proprietorship farm at Topsia, Kolkata. My contract letter was renewed till 31st March, 2022. But all of a sudden I was terminated on 30th September, 2022. The HR dept has served termination notice on 27th of September asking that 30th September will be my last working day. As per terms and conditions of my contract letter 30 days prior notice or 1 months pay in lieu of from either side is mandatory. Now company denying to pay the notice period pay. HR is saying that they have informed verbally. Can I claim the notice period pay?
