I was working in a company as a business development manager since a month and i was on probation period for 3 months, along with this i was also preparing for SSB, which is a selection process to become a officer in indian armed forces. This process is of 5 days. And hence i wanted to have a 5 days leave to be able to attend this process. Being a good employee, i told truth to my manager about the process and my willingness to join the force which serve our country in all conditions. He instantly gave me the leave and told that i can go and he will be very proud of it. So i started my packing, and on final day when i had to leave for the ssb from lucknow to allhabaad, my manager called and said that senior manager has not approved it, i told him you can not cancel my holiday in last minute when i have already about to catch the bus. The manager said either you take the job or the SSB. Since i had already left, i continued my journey. In between the process on 2 nd day they sended me and email stating the employee absconding and terminated me. I just want to know that is this legal?
