Sudden change in company exit policy without notifying employees via email
My company suddely changed the employee's exit policy (from 45 days to 60 days) few days before my resignation on their office app "keka"(where the policies are written) without notifying employees via email. After i resigned they told me to serve a notice perod of 60 days. But i told them i can only serve for 45 days and they can deduct my salary for rest of the days as it was also written in their policy. But they didn't allow me to do that. Please tell me now what i can do?
This is what was written in their policy:
Resignation: Any employee (confirmed or probationary) may submit his or her resignation from the service of the company by serving
A notice period of 60 Days’ is compulsory for everyone.
Submitting/ surrendering their respective Notice period days salary in lieu thereof based on mutual consent & management discretion. The employee will submit his resignation to Ishan Sir & Piyush Sir for acceptance and thereafter, the accepted resignation would be forwarded to the HR Department for clearance and Full and Final settlement.
