I was into redeployment period from my company. During this period total lockdown happened. The HR is not picking phone. She didn't shared any job options and now time is over. What are my options with regards to company law?

Hi,

As per the information provided, you were in your redeployment period, therefore it does not mean that your employment has been terminated, except in the case where there is a specific clause of automatic termination of your employment agreement (example – fixed duration of the employment contract). As per common practice, if you have already put in your papers because you and the Management were required to enter into a fresh employment agreement; you can claim employment on the basis of any communication received from the Management advising you to put in your papers to enter into a fresh Contract.

In your case, there is no need to worry as of now and a legal solution shall be looked at if the Management officially informs you that your services have been terminated.

It is advised to send an e-mail to your HR Manager highlighting that you have been trying to telephonically contact her and are awaiting an update for your future role and responsibilities in the organisation; as also you are ready and willing to fulfil your responsibilities from your residential premises, if possible.

Further, it is requested to post detailed query with complete facts so that the situation can be understood holistically.

Thanks.
