My company announced salary cuts for 3rd time in 1.5 years

My company just announced salary cuts for the 3rd time in last one and a half years, stating work from home as the reason. Even though we are WORKING from home. How legal is this? And, can they take such decision unilaterally?

They cannot do that if it is in contravention of your employment contract. But, perusing the employment contract is necessary before issuing a legal notice on the company.
