Criminal Law

Should i prove i am not guilty in this vehicle accident ?

My car collided with Bike on 15th Dec 2018. The owner of the bike ( Mr A) sustained " Fracture Rt toe". On the civil side Mr A filed for compensation and was awarded 4 Lakhs within a year ( around Nov 2019). On the Criminal side Two separate FIR s were filed against me and Mr A . Two separate cases were filed against me and Mr A. Against me under Sec 279 and 338 of CPC . I am contesting that i am not guilty. Against Mr A case was filed under Sec 279 of IPC. On 09-03-2021 Mr A pleaded guilty and was fined Rs 1000. He did pay the amount and the case is closed. I got know this recently and i requested the concerned Police officer to withdraw the case against me in the next hearing. He said it is not possible. My contention was , when Mr A pleads guilty , I am automatically not guilty. Accordingly yesterday ( 16-092021) i submitted before the Judge ( Magistrate) that Mr A ( the other party involved in the accident) has pleaded guilty and I am automatically not guilty, both cannot be guilty. My lawyer/ the Govt lawyer and the Judge did not agree. Case was adjourned . Am I wrong ?

Dear sir
As per your submission it reveals that this is a matter of two defferent cases
One is under section 279 and other is compesation under the motor vehicle Act
However
If you show me copy of FIR I can advise you in detail.

My question is very clear and your answer is confusing. Mr A was awarded 4 Lakhs compensation. Case closed. No civil case here. In the Criminal side Mr A has pleaded guilty. My question was " am i automatically not guilty " ? or i have to prove i am not guilty
