Is an Employment agreement valid in India

I have signed an employment agreement that is made on the company letter head without being vetted legally. I succumbed to the mental abuse and quit. Now an ex employee of that company has started her firm in the same field. And she wants to hire me. One of my clients that had worked me in my ex firm wants to continue working with me but my employment letter says I cannot be in touch with any of my existing or potential clients. What is the solution for this?

What does your resignation letter said ?
also full conditions of employment agreement are required cause there are ways.

In most of cases, can continue to work with ex-employee firm.
